NEET Exam 2021 Update: New Exam Centre added in Dubai
In a historic first, the NEET Exam will be conducted for the first time ever in Dubai, as said by the Ministry of Education. This will be in addition to the centre already existing in Kuwait City.

Reports say that such a decision to add this new exam centre is to make it easier for Indian students based in the Middle East to appear for this exam. Registrations for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test begin today i.e. on July 23, 2021, while the last date extends to August 6, 2021. As per official sources, the date of conducting NEET 2021 has also been postponed from August 1, 2021, to September 12, 2021. Furthermore, the last date for making the fee payment is August 7, 2021.
Additionally, students who’ve already applied for the NEET 2021 Exam, are allowed to change their choice of “city of exam centre” to Dubai if they want to. However, this shall be done only during the “correction period” i.e. from August 8 to August 12, 2021. Talking about the NEET pattern, the paper will almost be similar to the previous years, with a slight variation. Unlike the previous years, this year’s question paper shall have options as internal choices. Furthermore, the exam will be conducted in 13 different languages.
In a letter to the Foreign Secretary, MEA, HRD Secretary Amit Khare called for the cooperation of the Dubai and Kuwait embassies to the NTA, so that the NEET exam is conducted securely and fairly. Talking of safety, the Education Minister has promised the safety of the students appearing for the NEET 2021 Exam, as is evident from his statement below: -
“To ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020”
The NTA is yet to release the information bulletin for the upcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which shall include important data regarding eligibility, important dates, the application process, reservation criteria, and much more.
