American University Of Barbados Courses

There are 2 kinds of MD courses that are available at the American University of Barbados. While one is a 4-year program, the other consists of an additional “Pre-Medical Program” that is of 1.5 years, thus making it a 5.5-year program.

Pre-Medical Program 

This course is only available in the 5.5-year program. This is meant for those who have recently finished high school i.e. their 12th grade. Divided into 4 semesters, the pre-Medical Program of the American University of Barbados seeks to strengthen the foundational knowledge of the medical aspirants. 

It fills the gap between school and eventual university education and prepares the students for the future MD Program. The subjects included in this program are given below.

Divided into 5 semesters, Basic Sciences is the beginning of the 4-year MD Program of the American University of Barbados. Students with adequate qualifications can go for this program directly, whereas others can only be eligible for this once they pass the pre-medical course mentioned above.

American University Of Barbados Admission Process 2022

  •  APPLICATION FORM: Fill the form as per the instructions on the university website portal.
  •  DOCUMENTS: Submit the required academic and other documents along with the application form. Make scanned copies of the documents and attach them to the form.
  •  REVIEW: Your application will then be reviewed by the Admission Review Committee and you shall be informed about the further process if selected.
  •  ACCEPTANCE: You shall hear from the Committee once your application has been accepted. In most cases, the university provides an Acceptance Letter as written confirmation.
  •  STUDENT DECISION: After the above step, the student is given a choice whether or not s/he wants to proceed with the application and enroll. If you agree to go forward with it, you need to pay the Student Acceptance Fee.

Hostel
