CBSE 12th Board Results Declared, Check Now

Big News for Class XII students!

CBSE 12 Result 2021 is finally out now. It is now available to download, students/parents can access results by visiting the official website of CBSE. This is in line with CBSE’s announcement earlier that the results will be out by 2 PM on the 30th of July 2021.

According to few media reports, CBSE was planning to  release results of Class X and XII at same time. The main reason behind this to is to give more time to students, so that they can start applying for higher education (UG) and intermediate studies as soon as possible.

This year’s board exams have been a roller coaster ride. It has seen everything from cancellations to postponements and eventual pattern changes, among other things. Therefore, along with the result update, it’s also important to look at how this year’s exam was different and what it holds in the future for the candidates.

Understanding the CBSE 2021 Board Exams

This year, students from more than 13,000 schools appeared on 5000+ exam centres for the class 12 board exam. This is especially impressive, considering the uncertainty surrounding the exam in the first half of this year. Due to a rise in Covid-19 cases, the class XII board exams cancelled. Earlier, it was supposed to be held in May month. Therefore, the exam and the CBSE 12 exam result 2021 have used alternative ways of examination and assessments.

What made this year’s exam different from its predecessors was its weightage. The CBSE 12 exam result 2021 is not determined by a written test but by the previous performances of the students. A 30% weightage has been given to class X and XI marks, with a 40% weightage to the class XII exams (unit test/mock pre-boards/pre-boards). However, students who are not satisfied with their results and this method of assessment can appear for the optional exam conducted by the CBSE.

Students can download their results either from CBSE’s official website www.cbse.nic.in or from “DigiLocker”.

Scope after Class XII Boards

Passing this exam successfully can open up many opportunities for students. The UGC will soon start the admission process for undergraduates. However, there are plenty more opportunities for students having a biology background, especially in the form of MBBS Abroad.

For this purpose, students need to appear for the NEET Exam as well as score at least the minimum qualifying marks, to be able to study MBBS in Abroad. A decent 10+2 and NEET Result can make the student eligible for medical colleges across Russia, Ukraine, The Philippines, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, The Caribbean (and eventually the USA), and many other nations.

Students with a non-medical background need not lose hope, as they too have an opportunity to get enrolled in some of the top engineering colleges in India like JIIT, VITEEE, Jaypee Institute, Galgotias University, etc. Students also have the option to study MBBS in Abroad and then return to India for medical practice. In such a case, they currently have to give the FMGE Exam, which is also soon to be replaced by the NEXT Exam.
