NTA has released new guidelines for the NEET UG 2026 exam scheduled for May 3, 2026, between 2:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. in 566 cities throughout India and other nations. NTA has advised candidates that,s due to weather conditions like rainfall and thunderstorms, this may lead to traffic problems in reaching on time. The updated dress code now includes full sleeve shirts and woollen clothes, but students need to arrive early as frisking will be done at the examination centre. Strict rules regarding OMR sheet instructions include using only a black ballpoint pen while filling in the form.
Post frisking, the candidates need to take part in biometric authentication as a measure of security. But as per the National Testing Agency (NTA), there are some exceptional cases wherein the candidate will not have to undergo the procedure and can still gain admission. This could be due to hardware problems, low-quality biometric information, a lack of connection with the UIDAI server or physical disability to submit biometric information. The candidates in such scenarios need to fill in a NEET exam 2026 undertaking form, which will be available at the test centre.
