The Madhya Pradesh High Court has postponed the hearing on the NEET UG 2025 result case to 29 May 2025. The problem started when students faced severe disruptions due to power failures at multiple exam centres in Indore and Ujjain on 4 May 2025. The affected students have wanted the court to allow for re-examination, looking at the unfair conditions that hampered their performance.
Advocate Mridul Bhatnagar, representing the students, asked for the need for a re-exam or alternative relief measures. He stated that students should not suffer due to circumstances out of their control. The NEET UG 2025 results are expected to be announced on 14 June 2025, but the court’s decision on 29 May 2025 could impact the expected date. Over 2 lakh students appeared for the NEET exam in Madhya Pradesh and the verdict could impact the result of these students. The result of the hearing will determine whether affected students will receive the relief or if the results will proceed as planned.
