The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG 2025 results and along with the category-wise qualifying cut-off scores. These marks are important because they show who is eligible for admission to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses in medical colleges across India. This year, 22.09 lakh students gave the NEET exam, and out of them, 12.36 lakh students passed. Last year, 13.15 lakh students had passed the exam.

Download your scorecard, which includes your cut-off marks according to your category
Eligibility Check: Only students who score above the cut-off qualify for admission. Students below the marks, even if they appeared in the exam, cannot join medical courses.
Counseling Process: Those who qualify can take part in counseling. This is where seats in MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH are allotted based on rank and availability:
15% seats through All India Quota (AIQ) by MCC
85% seats through state-level counseling
Medical College Admission: A Higher cut-off in the General category means more competition. But when quotas like SC/ST/OBC are applied, seats open up for reserved categories.
