NEET UG 2021: Round 2 Counseling Begins Today Till 21 Feb 22

On Tuesday i.e. February 16, 2022, the NTA has commenced registrations for Round 2 of the NEET-UG Exam 2021. Eligible candidates can carry out this process on the official portal which is mcc.nic.in

As per the official NEET schedule of the MCC, candidates can fill in their choices/preferences between February 17th and February 21st, 2022. Other registration-related formalities and fee payments also have to be completed by February 21st, 2022.

A Brief of the NEET-UG Counseling 

The NEET-UG Counseling for the All-India Quota (AIQ) is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). These seats make up 15% of the total UG medical and dental seats.

This year’s AIQ NEET-UG Counseling will have a total of 4 rounds (2 extra rounds than the previous years) namely, AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Cavancy Round. Till 2020, the last 2 rounds were only for the central and deemed universities and the rest of the seats were transferred to State Counseling.

This year, however, all 4 rounds are exclusively there to fill the AIQ seats.

Documents Required for NEET-UG Registration

After logging on to the official MCC portal of http://mcc.nic.in/, candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below -

• Click on the tab that says “UG Medical Counselling”
• This is will display the “Registration Link” which the candidate needs to click on.
• Register yourself by entering the requisite details
• Once registered, log in with your credentials 
• Fill out the application form (uploading documents and registration fee payment)
• Recheck the details and take a printout of the application form

Registration Process of the NEET-UG Registration

All the documents that the candidates need to keep handy during this process include - 

• Admit Card of NEET 2021 Exam
• Printout of the Online Application Form
• NEET exam mark sheet
• Certificate Proving Nationality 
• Mark Sheets for Class 10 (as an age proof) and Class 12 
• Aadhar Card

Results for Round 2 of the NEET-UG Counseling will be declared on February 26th, 2022.
