NEET PG Counseling’21: Changes in Round 2 Seat Distribution
In a recent notice, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) laid down all the major additions and withdrawals of MD, MS, and DNB seats for the NEET PG Counseling 2021. In total, there are 47 MD and MS seats that have been added, while 14 DNB seats and those of PG Medical have been withdrawn from the Round 2 sea matrix.
What the MCC says on this Matter
The MCC had received updates from several institutions claiming the number of actual seats on offer. In a lot of these cases, the seat matrix offered by such institutions differed from the ones that the MCC listed for Round 2.
While there were seats that weren’t mentioned, there were also cases where the MCC wrongly added seats that were already filled in Round 1, leading to duplication of seats.
As far as the candidates are concerned, they can re-register and apply for the newly added seats, if they have applied for the duplicated seats.
