The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will soon release the answer key and response sheet for the NEET PG 2025 exam on its official website. This update comes after the results were announced on August 19, 2025 and it also follows the Supreme Court’s order to make the exam process more transparent.

The NEET PG 2025 exam was held on August 3, 2025, in a single shift. This exam is very important as it is the main entrance test for PG medical courses like MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (Direct 6-Year) and PG Diploma programs. Since the test was conducted in only one shift this year, there was no need for score normalization which was often debated in previous years when the exam had multiple shifts.

From August 29, 2025, candidates can download their individual scorecards from the NBEMS official website by logging in with their details. The scorecard will show important information such as the overall rank, All India Rank (AIR), and category rank. These scorecards will be available for download for the next six months.

The All India 50% Quota (AIQ) merit list has already been published before the MCC counselling process, which will start soon. This year, the NEET PG 2025 cut-off marks were lower across all categories compared to previous years, showing that competition has become tougher. The qualifying percentile has been set as follows:

• 50th percentile for General/EWS category

• 45th percentile for General PwBD

• 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD under these categories
  

The NEET PG Exam 2025 included 200 multiple-choice questions. Candidates received +4 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each wrong answer, and no marks for questions left unattempted.

More than 2,42,000 candidates registered for the NEET PG 2025 exam. Out of these, about 2,30,000 appeared, and nearly 1,28,000 qualified for the counselling rounds. The counselling process will be held to allot seats under different quotas at both central and state levels. The allocation of seats will be done according to the merit list and reservation rules. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon publish the detailed counselling schedule, seat matrix, and admission guidelines on its official website.
