    NEET 2025 Exam Pattern

The NEET full form is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which is the primary exam for admission to medical colleges in India. As per the NEET exam pattern, the question paper consists of 200 questions, with internal choices provided in Section B of each subject. However, students are required to attempt only 180 questions out of the total. This means students have the flexibility to attempt 45 questions out of the 50 asked in each NEET UG subject, including Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, and Physics. The NEET 2025 question paper will follow the latest NEET Exam Pattern and syllabus set by NTA.

The NEET 2025 exam will be conducted offline, and candidates will mark their answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen. The exam duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes (200 minutes). Effective time management is crucial to answer all questions within the given timeframe. The question paper includes three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Each section is divided into two parts: Section A (35 questions) and Section B (15 questions, where only 10 need to be attempted).

Each question carries 4 marks, with a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. No marks are awarded for unattempt questions or multiple answers. The total marks for the NEET UG exam are 720. The NEET 2025 question paper will be available in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and various regional languages. The NEET syllabus 2025 is based on Classes 11th and 12th as prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI). After the exam, NTA NEET releases a provisional answer key, allowing candidates to raise objections. After evaluation, a final answer key is released, followed by the NEET result 2025, cut-off scores, and a merit list. These determine eligibility for the NEET counseling process. You can check the official NEET website ‘neet nta nic in’ for the latest updates on various things including the exam pattern.
