Neet Exam 2021 Date is Here! Time to Fulfill Your Medical Career Goals

On 12th July 2021, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at last announced the official date for the much awaited NEET Examinations. 

The NEET Exam is the nationwide entrance test that’s compulsory for admission into MBBS Abroad.

Mr.Pradhan’s announcement of the date came with all the requisite information regarding the Covid protocols that’ll be followed in examination centres. Despite this, a number of disgruntled candidates are still demanding the exam’s postponement till October.

However, today we’re not here to cover the current political situation around it. In fact, this article shall provide all the relevant details and information that you as a candidate need to be aware of.

Important Basic Information

First and foremost, 12th September 2021 is the date of the exam; application/registration for which begins on 13th July 2021. Candidates can get their admit cards latest by September 2021. Other vital information like the “last date to apply”, “last date to pay” and “result date” shall be announced soon.

Talking about registration and fee payment, candidates have the luxury to pay both online (credit/debit card or net banking) and offline (e-challans). Though tentative, application fee for General category candidates is around Rs. 1500 while those for SC/ST/PH IS Rs. 800. OBCs and EWS need to tentatively pay Rs. 1400

Eligibility

To appear for NEET, you need to have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam, with PCB subjects from any recognized board in India. Minimum age to apply is 17 years while the maximum is 25 years

Basically, you should be born before or on 31st December 2004 in order to be eligible to give the NEET Exam. However, age relaxations can be made according to the rules prescribed.
