The NEET Exam 2022 applications are underway!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the NEET Exam 2022 will have to be given by everyone who seeks admission to undergraduate courses, including those in medical, veterinary, nursing, and other related disciplines.

The registration process shall conclude on 6th May 2022 while the NEET exam will be held on 17th July 2022.

NEET Exam 2022 Pattern

There shall be a total of 200 questions in the NEET Exam that will be held for 200 minutes. Students have the option to give this exam in one of the 13 languages, which include -

  1. English
  2. Hindi
  3. Urdu
  4. Assamese 
  5. Bengali 
  6. Gujarati
  7. Kannada
  8. Marathi
  9. Malayalam
  10. Odia
  11. Punjabi
  12. Tamil
  13. Telugu

There will be 4 main subjects in the NEET Exam namely Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each subject shall have 2 Sections out of which “Section A” will have 35 questions while “Section B” will have 15 questions. In the latter, students have to attempt only 10 out of the 15 questions.

According to the official NEET bulletin, the total number of questions and time utilization will remain the same. The NTA has offered choices in Section B in all 4 subjects, which is an attempt to rationalize the education system.

Students will be awarded +4 marks for every correct answer and -1 mark for every incorrect answer. If any question is left unattempted, there shall be no deductions.

Application Fee for NEET Exam

Depending on which category one belongs to, the fee amounts differ accordingly. As compared to INR 1,500 last year, this year’s fee for the General Category will be INR 1,600. Foreign candidates on the other hand have to pay a total of INR 8,500 (as compared to INR 7,500 last year)

When it comes to the students belonging to the Reserved Category, the fee for the SC/ST candidates is INR 800 while for the EWS/OBC-NCL is INR 1,500.

Documents Required

  • Passing certificate of Class 10 
  • Marksheet and Certificate of Class 12
  • Latest photo (Postcard size)
  • Scanned copy of a passport size photograph (Size: 10-200 kb)
  • Scan of your signature (Size: 4-30 kb)
  • Fingers and Thumb impressions (both Left and Right hands)
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Citizenship Certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

 The photograph should be a recent one and can either be in color or black and white. 80% of the face should be visible (including ears) and shall be on a white background.
