Gujarat NEET UG Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 require a set of basic eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for the counselling rounds are listed below:

• In Nationality Criteria, NRIs can apply under NRI quota, whereas Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible only for deemed universities in Gujarat, not for State Quota MBBS seats. 

• Students who have completed Class 10 and 12 outside Gujarat, but hold a valid Gujarat domicile certificate, are also eligible for Gujarat NEET UG 2026. 

• The minimum age for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling process is 17 years as of 31 December 2026. 

• Students are required to obtain a Minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) marks in PCB.

• To know about dates and events of Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026, candidates are advised to visit official website. 

• Admission for courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS is based on NEET UG examination. ACPUGMEC doesn’t consider GUJCET for examination process. 

• For categories like SC, ST, SEBC and EWS, seats are reserved at around 7% for SC, 15% for ST, 27% for SEBC and 10% for EWS. In addition, 5% of seats are reserved for Persons with Disability (PwD). 

• Candidates are required to bring all original certificates mentioned in admission letter. 

• Based on NEET-UG merit, Management quota seats of Medical (MBBS), Dental (BDS), Ayurveda (BAMS) and Homoeopathy (BHMS) undergraduate courses are filled by Admission Committee.

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Fees 

Following declaration of NEET UG 2026 result, ACPUGMEC conducts Gujarat NEET UG counselling 2026. Gujarat NEET UG Counselling registration fee is ₹1000 for all students, which is non-refundable in nature. Along with registration fee, candidates have to deposit security fee of ₹10,000 for General category and ₹1000 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD. Candidates are required to stay vigilant during Gujarat NEET UG Counselling process to avoid any issues. 

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Procedures

• Registration: Candidates are required to register at official website by uploading required documents and information, which includes NEET 2026 roll number, email and Phone number.

• Verification of documents: Visit designated office for verification of documents. 

• Preparation of Merit List: Based on ranks of candidates, the merit list will be prepared and it will be uploaded on official website. 

• Choice filling: Candidates whose names appear in merit list will have to indicate their choices (Courses/colleges) in order of preference. 

• Allocation of seats: Based on merit of candidates and choices filled by them, seats will be allocated and will be uploaded online. 

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Round 1

ACPUGMEC announces the Gujarat NEET UG counselling rounds on its official site. The Round 1 will begin from 31st July 2026 to 13th August 2026. Publication of Rank Card or Merit List is tentatively scheduled for 18 August 2026. Candidates are required to carry all necessary documents along with them to enter first phase of counselling process. 

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Round 2

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Round 2 will begin soon. Acquiring a PIN is first step in counselling process for signing up. Students who have not been able to participate in first round of counselling can participate in second round of counselling. Candidates are required to visit official website and pay ₹11,000 to buy PIN. If candidate has bought a PIN in first round is not required to buy again in second round of counselling. Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Mop-up Round 

Those candidates who have not been able to participate in first and second counselling rounds are given last and final chance in Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Mop-up round. The expected date for Mop-up round is scheduled only after first and second rounds of NEET UG counselling. It is expected to be tentatively scheduled in mid-October 2026. Candidates are required to register on ACPUGMEC portal and students who have already registered on portal are required to reconfirm for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Mop-up 2026.

Gujarat Vacancy Round is final opportunity for candidates who were earlier not able to participate in previous counselling rounds.
