Doctors Association Requests Postponement of NEET PG 2022
In a letter to the Union Health Ministry, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has requested to postpone the NEET PG Exam 2022 exam scheduled for 21st May 2022.
On 30th April 2022, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) declared the provisional stray vacancy results to be “null and void”. Now the final result shall be released on 2nd May 2022. Furthermore, several states have already released schedules that will commence in May. Thus, postponing the NEET PG 2022 is currently the best option.
Details of the Letter
Apart from the above couple of reasons, there are a plethora of other reasons and developments mentioned in FAIMA’s letter. All of it is just to persuade the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to postpone the NEET PG 2022 exam.
The letter further asserted that candidates deserve a fair chance to participate in the counseling process. For this to be possible, they need to be given an ample amount of time to prepare for the said exam, which is why the NEET PG 2022 exam needs to be postponed.
What Happens Now?
The letter as well the request made by the doctors’ association is currently pending with the Union Health Ministry. As of the writing of this article, the latter has not responded to the same and therefore currently, the NEET PG 2022 Exam is still scheduled for 21st May 2022.
